Depending on the attendance of the event, not all Food & Drink outlets will be open, but you can find out which are open from our information point.

We also have a zero-alcohol stand that offers a range of zero alcohol products along with hot and cold drinks, sweets, crisps & chocolate which is located on the blue concourse in the “Jump” food outlet.

A full allergen check sheet is available on all catering stands - just ask any of the catering team who will be able to show you this information and if required give further specific dietry advice on our products.

Whether you’re coming straight from work, treating the family, enjoying a group night out or celebrating a special occasion, we want you to start the show early!

Our food outlets are open from the doors time published on your ticket and close approximately 20 minutes from the scheduled conclusion of the show.

The Arena has achieved top marks in the food hygiene rating scheme awarded by the Food Standards Agency. The venue has held the highest food hygiene rating every year since the scheme was introduced. More information on the scheme can be found by clicking here.

The building is licensed and serves a range of alcoholic drinks. It may be a requirement that drinks are decanted into plastic cups on some events. We operate a Challenge 25 policy so please be prepared to provide photo ID if you are lucky enough to look under 25 and wanting to purchasing alcoholic products from the Arena. Complimentary tap water is available upon request from the outlets.

You can take your purchases into the Arena and consume them in the comfort of your own seat on most events.

On 1st October 2019 our Food & Drink outlets went cashless.

We now take payment through chip & pin and contactless card payments.

We hope that you will soon see the benefit of quicker service and reduce waiting times at our catering stands and thank you in advance for your co-operation.

Should you have any further questions about our catering provision please email our catering team or if you are here at the Arena just ask to speak with our Duty Manager who work at every event.

We’re proud of our food & drink provision and team, so please note that only food purchased on the premises may be consumed in the venue. However should you or anyone you are attending the venue with have any specific dietary requirements that require you to bring your own food or drink to an event please contact us in advance by emailing cateringservices@sheffieldcitytrust.org so this can be organised in advance.

It is important to stay hydrated at events and we make cold tap water available in disposable plastic cups free of charge on all events that our catering stands are open for. Customers can also bring with them their own empty reusable plastic water bottle, again our catering team will be happy to pour you the free tap water into your reusable bottle. These bottles cannot be ceramic, glass or metal & you must always check what security restrictions are in place on the event you are attending as some shows place restrictions and may request the removal of lids from drinks bottles - we urge you to check these details before you travel by checking on the show page of our web site, contacting Customer Services or our catering team cateringservices@sheffieldcitytrust.org.

As previously stated promoters often request that plastic bottles are not served and that the contents of the bottle are either decanted, poured into a plastic cup, or the tops are removed from the bottle. If this a show requirement our catering team have no choice but to adhere to this show promoter's request. The main reason for this is to prevent the bottle being used as a projectile, if decanted or the top removed, the liquid contents come out when thrown thereby reducing the impact when landing and distance the bottle/cup can be thrown.  We understand this can be frustrating, it is for us, but this is done with safety of both the audience and artiste in mind.

If you are attending a private event at the Arena please check with that event what their policy is on food & drink as there may be a different policy & procedure from regularly ticketed events procedures detailed above.

Updated 1st December 2024:- Stack Cups are no longer in use at the Arena.

If you have previously purchased one of these re-usable cups and wish to return it then please take the cup to a stand on an event night where we will be discounting £1 per drink purchased upon return of your Stack Cup.

This will be available throughout December and with the new Arena operator we will continue to pursue other sustainable initiatives to reduce any environmental impact.
